The Johnny O Show

The second part of our 36th day, we do some exploring around the Savage Streams Campground and I give it a fair review. ;-) Then, we head on down the 101 toward Seaside, Oregon - visiting, one last time, Ruby Beach. We were anxious to see how much the tide had changed from earlier in the day.

We also discover that even though State and National campgrounds may say they are closed on their website, it is not always the case. Washington has a lot of beauty to share. If you have never been there, make sure to plan a trip. :-)

Ep. #635 Our 12 Week Adventure | Day 36: Part 2 - Leaving Washington

Here's Brittain's drawing of Mark "Markiplier" Fischbach. This took her approximately 3 hours to draw in its entirety, & she used her Wacom Intuos4 digital drawing tablet and Adobe Photoshop CC to draw with. The songs used in this video "Say My Name" (ft. I wanted Britty to upload this drawing on my channel. She drew this as a graduation gift for a friend of her's; some of his favorite anime characters. :-) (Also the interesting song choice was based upon what reminded her of this friend) It took her about 18 hours, which she is sad to admit. She drew this using Adobe Photoshop CC, along with her Wacom Intuos4 tablet. Subscribe to Brittain's
This is Britt's first video of her drawing Korra from the Nickelodeon cartoon "The Legend of Korra." Day 48 we finally left the state of Oregon and headed on our way to California. We admire the ocean on our drive to our next campground - which is a complete dream. We got a site for $20 a day at Kamp Klamath right in the beautiful Redwood Forest, very close to the beach. AND we have USABLE INTERNET. :-D So we drove to the beach and the High Bluff Overlook and did some exploring of the beautiful
Our 47th day was spent exploring the Brookings, OR area: we visit Arch Rock and enjoy the view there. Then just a few turns away is a little parking area to hike down to Secret Beach, but... why can't I find it? It took quite a bit of investigating to figure it out, but I finally did. So, if you're as confused as I was, here's some pointers. After the attempts to reach the Secret Beach, we go to
Our 46th day was a "take it easy" day: we mostly stayed in or around the Turtle Rock RV resort. I got some work done, and all four of us (doggies included) are missing home quite a bit. The night before we ate dinner at the Tortuga Mexican Bar and Grill, which was pretty good... but we miss Sombrero. ;-) And then tonight we tried the Hunter Creek Bar & Grill (in the video I mistakenly call it
Our 45th day I show you around the pretty awesome Turtle Rock RV resort we stayed at in Gold Beach, OR - some of the sites even have their own hot tubs. :-) And we of course visit the beach and see Turtle Rock up close. Unfortunately, it was incredibly windy, and I didn't really enjoy getting blasted by sand. But, it wasn't a bad day. ;-) Towing a Rockwood Geo Pro with a Honda Pilot Subscribe:
Traveling down the 101, our 44th day is spent at Thor's Well in Yachats, OR and exploring the beautiful surrounding area. But before that, we had a very interesting experience at a McDonald's in Florence - extremely nice and friendly people there. ;-) Towing a Rockwood Geo Pro with a Honda Pilot Subscribe: http://... We started our 43rd day at Depoe Bay in Lincoln City. Robin wanted to see the Devils Punchbowl in action, but we went at low tide because people normally hike to it... Robin definitely did not want to do that. So, we departed from Depoe Bay and headed toward Newport to visit the sea lions. And visit them we did. There were dozens upon dozens of sea lions surrounding and sunbathing on the docks
Our 42nd day also marked our being 5,000 miles into our trip - hopefully this is over the halfway point. ;-) We visit the beach in Lincoln City, and then enjoy the beautiful Cape Kiwanda and the Haystack Rock in Pacific City, OR. Which the drive there was a little disconcerting, as we passed sign after sigh making us aware that we were entering a tsunami zone. :-/ But once we arrived, we focused
For our 41st day, we take to the Historic Columbia River Highway - and we visit every waterfall that we can. It was a day filled with lots of beauty (and water): we saw Horsetail Falls, Multnomah Falls, Wahkeena Falls, Shepperd's Dell Falls, and Latourell Falls. Multnomah Falls was our most favorite, and we recommend visiting that one the most if you want to see an impressive waterfall. Then we
The 40th day of our trip is spent traversing the beautiful "City of Roses," Portland, OR. We head to the Washington Park MAX Station to take advantage of Portland's [inexpensive] public transportation. We explore the gorgeous International Rose Test Garden & Shakespeare Garden. We wanted to check out the Portland Japanese Garden, but it cost $17 each, but we've seen plenty of phenomenal nature for
For our 39th day, we travel from Seaside through Astoria, Oregon; the hometown of The Goonies. We ate at the Rusty Cup, which was a delightful place with good coffee and delicious sandwiches. Robin was very happy with it. :-) Then we longingly drive past The Goonies house. Then we reach our destination for the night - Battle Ground, Washington. Yes, we're back in Washington. But I go over some
On day 38 we intended on departing Seaside, but I decided to take advantage of the good Internet to get some work done. Plus, it was nice sunny day, and we wanted to take advantage of that, too. We took the dogs to visit the beach for a little bit. But we spent the remainder of the day in the camper. We got our lunch from Tacos Locos, and dinner from Angelina's Pizzeria. Both very good food and
Day 37 we arrive in Seaside, Oregon. We spend the day visiting the beaches (and being very caught off guard by the tides). We explore Seaside Beach, Cannon Beach, and Indian Beach. We got to see the magnificent Haystack Rock in person - which Robin was very excited about because she loves The Goonies. We tried looking for the light house, but it was completely concealed by the fog - the amount of
