Come join my family and I on our many adventures and follow Robin on her weight loss journey. I post tutorials and reviews on various subjects such as Premier Pro, the GoPro, Hotel Reviews, etc. You will also find covers that I have made using my Tyros 4, as well as original compositions.

The Johnny O Show

On the 8th day of our trip, we journeyed back into the Concrete Jungle (New York City ;-) to visit the magnificent Metropolitan Museum of Art. We only got to see a fraction of everything that was there, but what we did see was pretty extraordinary.
Then we took some time to look around Central Park. Again, only visited a fraction of the park - everybody's feet were already hurting from the Met. :-/ But we saw some talented musicians and enjoyed the large Alice in Wonderland statue there.
It was a long day of traffic, too, especially as it was Tiana's first time driving in a city like that. She did good, though. :-)

Ep. #533 On the Road Again: The Met Museum & Central Park | NYC

Week 7 of our basement remodel, we begin tackling the electrical. And, very quickly, we realize why people get rid of all the wiring when renovating old houses. A lot of the electrical work was done very poorly, and much of it won't be used. So, it's really best to just clean it all out and start fresh. Subscribe: http://... Check out our site: http://... So after a hard, long and COLD winter, spring has *basically* arrived late in April, and Linda is back to landscaping our front and back yards. She makes an assessment of what has survived and what has thrived despite the bad winter. We're making some beautiful progress and we all look forward to seeing her plans for the summer unfold. :-) Thank you, Linda! Subscribe: http://... Check out our
This is week 6 of our basement remodel project. In this phase we're focused on framing the new walls. It took some trial and error, but we figured out the best way to do it for our home. So, if you're trying to renovate your old home's basement, maybe you'll find some of our suggestions useful. Subscribe: http://... Check out our site: http://... Facebook: http://... #thejohnnyoshow
Brittain and I started on another project a few months back, attempting to make a new timer for the LED motion sensor lights I have installed in our home's kitchen. They go off after a minute if there isn't any movement, so needless to say it gets kind of frustrating when someone is doing dishes or is in the middle of making a meal and the lights go off. So here's our first attempt at creating a

In this video, we cooked and reviewed the Cowboy steak sandwich with chile-cumin oven fries. I gave the dish an 8, I thought it was fantastic. It wasn't Robin's favorite, but as she ate it, her rating went up. ;-) Subscribe: http://... Check out our site:
So Brittain bought herself a Nature Backs t-shirt (because she's basic), and she wanted to do a brief review of it. The size ended up being bigger than she anticipated, but it's comfortable and "super cute." ;-) Subscribe: http://... Check out our site: http://... It was only couple years after purchasing the FUNK AMATEUR DYC-8x7 mic compressor that I opened it up and realized it was a kit that we had to assemble. :-/ I had Britty do all the soldering since I can't see very well, and even though it wasn't very pretty, she did everything correctly. Unfortunately, it did not work. I used a continuity tester and from that standpoint everything appeared to be

This dish is chicken adobo flautas with cilantro and Roma tomato salsa. They didn't look very pretty, but they turned out pretty tasty. I gave the dish an 8, and Robin & Brittain gave it a 7. Another excellent recipe from Home Chef. :-) Subscribe: http://...
Here are weeks 2 and 3 of our basement renovation project. With all the cracks in the wall filled in with Quickrete, we moved on to painting over the spots with Drylok masonry waterproof paint. And we definitely recommend using a very thick brush when taking on this type of project; gets the job done *much* faster. Then we moved on to installing the new windows, and hopefully you'll learn
I promised a video on this topic a long time ago, and here it finally is: how to modify styles using the mixer on the Yamaha Tyros4, creating some very interesting and unique tracks. :-) While I haven't tested it, I'm sure that this process can be used to modify styles on any of Yamaha's keyboards; the Tyros' and the PSRs. With Robin's craft room finished, our next project is the basement. Our plan is to turn it not only into an entertainment area, but also a full fledged recording studio, with soundproof walls and a green screen. But we gotta lot of work to do until then, and this first phase involved a lot of prep work; cleaning out the drains, and filling up the holes and cracks in the walls. These are by no
Another feature we got for Robin's craft room was IKEA's sturdy NORDEN Gateleg table. It weighs 90lbs by itself, without any of it's storage compartments full of things. I wanted to make it a little easier for Robin to maneuver around her room, so I added some wheels. Here's a quick tip showing exactly what I did and how it turned out. :-) These are what I should have got http://... get 2 sets
Turning our front porch into Robin's craft room has been a long journey, but it is finally finished. This video shows the whole transformation, from texturing the walls to assembling the IKEA furniture, and we think it turned out pretty fantastic. :-) Subscribe: http://... For Robin's craft room, we wanted to assemble the IKEA KALLAX cubes we purchased in a sort of hutch style, so this quick tip is for those of you who are looking for a simple way to hang KALLAX cubes (or something similar) on your wall. :-) Subscribe: http://... Another great night spent with friends and family at the Van Wijk Winery in Sully, Iowa. The winery hosts a karaoke night every 2nd Saturday of the month, and has live music every 4th Saturday. They make 30 different wines and serve plenty of other drinks, and feel free to bring your own food and snacks. A definite recommendation if you live in Iowa or happen to be passing through. :-) Subscribe:
We were in the market for an air purifier to help reduce the litter box odor in "the cat room," and we settled on the GermGaurdian AC4100 3-in-1 purifier, with a HEPA Fresh filter and UV sanitizer. After using it for a couple of weeks, it hasn't made any impact on the cat odors, but when looking at the filter you can see it's definitely cleaning up the air. Subscribe: http://... Check out our
