Ep. #861 2001 2500HD GMC Sierra 6.0 L - Changing the Oil

Since it was time I give my 2001 2500HD GMC Sierra - with a 6.0 L engine - an oil change, I thought I'd record the process and show how it's done for anyone new to changing their own oil.
I found you're paying only about $5 more per thousand miles if you use a better grade oil and filter, rather than settle for the cheaper stuff. So that's what I use, though it may only be marginally better in reality. I use Castrol Edge High Milage 5W-30 for the oil and Royal Purple for the filter.
