Ep. #707 Review: APC Battery Backup for Use With Ham Radio
The FlaxRadio 6600M works really nice when accessed remotely. However, if the power goes off, it will not restart on it's own when the power comes back on. If you're away from home for a long period of time and you have a power outage you will find you can no longer remote into your radio.
I purchased an APC UPS, 850VA UPS (BE850G2) to use with my ham radio, to reduce the chances of it getting shut down from a power outage.
In this video I do tests to make sure it does not introduce more noise and make sure there is no negative impact using it to run a ham radio.
