Ep. #736 Replacing the Faucet in an Airstream B190
JUST DON'T DO IT! DO NOT TAKE YOUR RV TO A DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS!
You have seen in my videos that my RV dealer was completely incompetent when doing the repairs on my Geo Pro (Leach Camper Sales, Council Bluffs, Iowa)
My brother also has a camper and the dealer he purchased from is just as incompetent.
But 3 for 3... My mom was going to get her RV ready for this visit and we were going to go camp a couple nights at the Colorado National Monument before the cold sets in. She took it to the dealership (Humphrey RV in Montrose Colorado) 6 weeks earlier. It took the full 6 weeks for them to even get to a point she could pick it up. Nothing she needed to get done even got started on and one of the things they did work on did not even get done right. OVER $700 and all she got was SLOW, garbage service.
They installed a new faucet, did not even tighten the hoses, ruined the fitting that goes to the sprayer, and never even checked their work. There are ZERO excuses when you are paying $140/hr to justify this level of incompetency. They are all crooks!
If you can not fix it yourself, take it to a trustworthy RV repair shop. Do not take it to a dealership. Dealerships make their money by ripping people off with camper sales and fake warranty services.
A repair shop does not have any other income stream but repairs. If they do crap work it will cost them business. Do not use dealerships, unless you want to have a hack working on your RV.
I have nothing nice to say about the RV industry.
