Ep. #882 Journey to Demin, New Mexico - Part 2: Rockhound State Park
The next couple of days of our trip to Deming, New Mexico, my mom and I explored Rockhound State Park, which we discovered that the visitor center has limited hours. So if you're planning a visit, make sure to arrive in the morning or early afternoon.
We just had the camper van as our only means of transportation, and was dealing with a malfunctioning generator, which made things a bit stressful, as we had to keep the food in the fridge and our puppies cool in the extreme heat. Which the weather was the culprit of the generator's issues as well.
The next day, we checked out Voiers "Pit" Park in Deming, and then drove to Las Cruces for some delicious beer from Little Toad Creek Brewery & Distillery. Unfortunately, Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park was closed when we tried to visit, but the beer made the two-hour round trip worth it. 😉
